Community Guidelines

AL!VE exists to help people discover real experiences in their city and around the world. These guidelines exist to keep the platform authentic, safe, and useful for everyone — users discovering events and hosts posting them. Violating these guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

👥 For All Users

✅ Do:

Be respectful to other users, hosts, and communities
Share events you genuinely discovered and think others would enjoy
Report content that violates these guidelines using the in-app report button
Keep your profile information accurate and authentic
Use the app for its intended purpose — discovering and sharing real events

🚫 Do not:

Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users or hosts
Create fake accounts or impersonate other people or organizations
Spam other users with unsolicited messages or repeated unwanted contact
Share another person's private information without their consent
Use the platform to promote self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous behaviors
Attempt to manipulate, hack, or exploit the platform in any way
Create multiple accounts to evade a ban or suspension

🎟️ For Hosts & Promoters

AL!VE is a discovery platform — not an event organizer. Hosts are solely responsible for everything that happens at their events. By posting on AL!VE, you agree to our Terms of Service including full liability for your events.

✅ Do:

Post accurate event information including correct date, time, location, and cost
Update or cancel events promptly if details change
Clearly disclose age restrictions (18+ events must be marked as such)
Only upload flyers and content you have the rights to use
Obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance for your events
Respond to attendee questions and concerns professionally

🚫 Do not:

Post fake, misleading, or fabricated events
Use someone else's flyer, branding, or imagery without permission
Post events for illegal activities including unlicensed venues or controlled substances
Upload explicit sexual content unless operating a legally compliant 18+ venue
Promote events that involve hate speech, discrimination, or targeted harassment
Use the platform to solicit money outside of legitimate ticket sales
Share another promoter's event as your own
Create multiple host accounts to circumvent upload limits or subscription tiers
Post events with wildly inaccurate attendance expectations to mislead users

🖼️ Content Standards

All content uploaded to AL!VE — including event flyers, descriptions, live videos, profile photos, and usernames — must comply with these standards.

Prohibited content includes:

Explicit sexual content or nudity (unless operating a legally compliant 18+ platform feature)
Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
Content that promotes or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity
Spam, repetitive, or meaningless content designed to game the algorithm
Content designed to deceive users about an event's nature, location, or cost
Copyrighted music, video, or imagery used without proper licensing
Any content involving minors in inappropriate contexts

AL!VE respects intellectual property rights. Do not post content you do not own or have permission to use. This includes:

Event flyers designed by others without their consent
Music playing in live video uploads that is not licensed for your use
Logos, trademarks, or branding belonging to other companies or artists
Photos or artwork created by others

To submit a copyright complaint, email support@joinalive.app with the subject line "Copyright Complaint" and include the content in question and proof of ownership.

🚩 Reporting Violations

If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the in-app report button on any event or promoter profile. Our team reviews all reports and takes action based on severity.

For urgent issues including illegal content, threats of violence, or child safety concerns, email support@joinalive.app immediately.

⚖️ Enforcement

We take violations seriously. Depending on severity and history, enforcement actions include:

STEP 1

Content removed with no account action for first-time minor violations

STEP 2

Warning issued and content removed for repeated or moderate violations

STEP 3

Temporary suspension for serious or repeated violations

STEP 4

Permanent ban for severe violations, illegal content, or repeated offenses

AL!VE reserves the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at any time for any reason, including conduct we determine to be harmful to the platform or its users.
